Assemblies

Assemblies throughout the year cover a range of themes and events. Festivals and events are also covered including religious festivals such as Easter, Christmas, Harvest, Divali and Hanukkah. Assemblies include a spiritual element which is predominantly Christian but includes other world faiths. Events during the year include special days such as the patron saints days of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, Remembrance Day, Bonfire Night, etc. Fundamental British Values and our school values also feature regularly in our assemblies throughout the year.

We regularly have visitors leading assemblies such as Father McTeer, Father Edward, NSPCC, the Fire Brigade and the PCSOs. Music is an important part of our assemblies and this includes regular singing and music from our composer of the week. Parents are also regularly invited to assemblies throughout the year such as Harvest, the Christmas Carol Service, the Easter Service, Achievers and Leavers Assemblies. We also hold special events to support national and local charities such as Macmillan, Red Nose Day, Children in Need and Comic Relief.
