Dear Parents/ Carers,
Thank you for your patience, understanding and words of support during this anxious time. It is our intention to try to keep parents as updated as possible based upon the advice and information we receive.
We are making preparations to close the school with effect from the end of the school day on Friday 20th March 2020. The school will then be closed to the vast majority of pupils until further notice. The school will only remain open for vulnerable pupils including those with Education Health and Care Plans and for children whose parents are both key workers.
If you are a parent/Carer who works in ‘Frontline Service’, please let us know by completing the form, see the form section on the school app or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. This form needs to be completed no later than 3pm on Friday 20th March 2020. In response to the announcement, the children of parents who work in frontline services will be able to attend so that we can continue to support. These services include, but are not limited to, health, social care, teachers, the emergency services and delivery drivers who have no alternative childcare arrangements. We will confirm with you tomorrow if your child can attend on Monday following your completion of the form.
We are also preparing to provide children who are entitled to free school meals (pupils currently eligible for benefits-related free school meals) a meal every school day starting from next week. We have asked those parents to complete a form to request a meal if required and would appreciate it if you could please complete this or inform us no later than 3pm on Friday 20th March 2020.
We will continue to use the school app and ask you to let us know if you need help to access this as your child will be sent work through the Home Learning section. Please contact us if you need help with this. We also ask that you ensure that we have your most up to date contact information too.
Once again, we thank you for your continued support.
