Thanks to Taylor Shaw for putting on a food tasting sessioin for the open morning. Parents and staff had a great time trying the various items available.

We are re-introducing Friday Favourite Day after Easter. Children who wish to have a school meal on a Friday only will need to complete the school menu for the Friday in advance. The favourite day will include meals children have identified as their favourites and will include sausages, fish, burgers etc Current school meal prices are £1.65 per day. Please see the school secretary for a menu to order you favourites.

Following the parents' survey we have organised a school meal taster session to take place on Red Nose Day at school. We have arranged this with Taylor Shaw who are the new school meal provider. You are invited to school on the 13th March to sample different parts of the menu and to give us your opinion. The session will begin at about 9.15am and continue up to 11am.

Thank you for you comments and responses to the Parents' Survey. We have been examining the reponses, which have mostly been very positive, and have some general conclusions we can make. If you would like a more detailed break down of the survey this will be available from Mr Nodding in the near future. Most areas on the survey achieved very high positive responses particularly in the standards section and the 'how do you feel' section. Some areas that we intend to look at which did not score as high include school meals, after school clubs and information for parents to help support their child at home. We will address these areas as soon as possible.

Could we remind parents that they should not park in the lane alongside the school as this causes an obstruction for vehicles entering and leaving the school. A number of incidents have recently occurred which have almost led to accidents. The police have recently been to school and are monitoring parking in the lane. Parents are also reminded not to drive into the school car park.

Thank you to everyone who has completed their questionnaire about travel to school. We need this information to help produce a school travel plan. If any parents would be interested in joining a small working party to discuss the travel plan we would be most grateful of the support. Thank you.

We are currently reviewing our school policies and practices with regard to disability. If any parents would like to share their views on this area or would be interested in joining a small group to discuss this issue please contact Mr Nodding. Thank you.

Part of our on-going policy review involves looking at the Sex and Relationships Policy. The policy is being developed following a series of discussions carried out by staff at school and in the local cluster. Parents, governors etc will be invited to comment on the policy as it develops to ensure a wide range of opinions have been gathered.
