Then we thought about ratio and proportion when making two different kinds of slime. Our last activity was working as a team using paper and masking tape to build the tallest free-standing tower – the winning team made a tower 218cm tall!

Throughout the day we learnt about hazards in the home, fire safety, road safety, water safety, how to be safe around electricity and how to keep ourselves safe online. There was lots of fun activities and chances to earn points for our teams. We learnt lots of new information that we are going to pass on to our families and friends.
Class 6 have been learning about the circulatory system in Science, we have looked at how the heart and lungs work, made a board game to test our knowledge and thought about how to keep our hearts and lungs healthy. To end our topic we designed an investigation to see how exercise affects our heart rate and breathing rate. We had great fun completing exercise for 2 minutes and then measuring our heart rate. Next we are going to analyse our results and compare our findings.
As part of Anti-Bullying Week, Class 6 received a Yoga session. The session was all about respecting ourselves and others. We learnt various different yoga positions including the mountain pose, downward dog, sunset salutation and the double downward dog. Class 6 found it really relaxing and calming.
