It was an exciting day across all classes as we came together to celebrate ‘Spanish Day’. Each class was given a topic to research which included, numbers, colours, songs and stories in Spanish as well as looking at cities and football teams. The children loved tasting the Spanish foods. The day was finished off by the whole school coming together for a celebration assembly where each class showcased what they had learnt. ‘Tuvimos un día increíble!’

Skip2BFit
Today children from across the school have had a taster session of the Skip2Bfit workshop. These unique skipping workshops are about motivating the children to succeed, whilst at the same time encouraging them to exercise. Skip2BFit worked in the school throughout the day seeing the children in their class groups for sessions, with a 15 minute assembly at the end of the day. In the sessions they showed the children how to skip, breaking it down into 5 simple steps and then demonstrating what the children can do when you practiced, showing them the technique that boxers learn to skip by. Everyone had a fantastic time whilst keeping fit and having fun!

Today, each child has received a £1 World Book Day book token, all the children need to do is to take it to their local bookseller and swap it for one of the TWELVE (exclusive, new and completely FREE) World Book Day books. Or, if the children prefer, they can use the book token to get £1 off any full price book instead.
